5GLENWILLOW MAYOR’S COURT

Glenwillow is authorized under the state of Ohio to operate a Mayor’s Court for citations issued by the Glenwillow Police Department. The Mayor has jurisdiction to hear and determine any prosecution for the violation of a Municipal ordinance and has jurisdiction in all criminal cases involving moving traffic violations occurring on State highways located within the corporate limits, subject to the right of the defendant to trial by jury and before an impartial magistrate.

Mayor’s Court is held one Monday of each month beginning at 4:00 pm. For information regarding court apearance or the amount of fines and costs, please contact the Clerk of Glenwillow Mayor’s Court, Lori Kovach at 440-232-8788.

Please check the front of your ticket for the following:

If the officer marked the Personal Apearance Required, you must appear in court on the date and time stated.

If you are charged with a waiverable offense, you may, before the court date, pay the waiver without appearing in court by doing one of the following: Appearing personally, signing the waiver on the back of your ticket and paying the fines and costs. Or, signing the waiver and mailing it along with a cashiers check or money order for the total of the fines and costs, made payable to the Village of Glenwillow. Payment can also be made by Visa or Mastercard in Person or over the phone.

Proof of insurance must also be provided to the court if it was not shown at the time of the stop. It can be mailed along with your payment or faxed to 440-735-9298.
