As your billing agent, the City of Cleveland's Department of Public Utilities is always looking for opportunities to better serve our mutual customers. Our next step in this continuous process is to transition from our current quarterly bill to a monthly bill, beginning January 1, 2017. We believe this change will better help our customers manage their water and sewer bills.
As you can imagine, such a transition is a major project resulting in many changes and testing of the billing system being required. As a result, any system configuration changes, such as rates, need to be identified and input into our billing system prior to primary testing initiatives beginning so we can be assured no potential issues go undetected.
Therefore, any changes to your rates or rate structures need to be communicated to us by March 15, 2016. This will ensure we have the appropriate time necessary to input any new rate information in our Test Environment and perform all necessary testing associated with the monthly billing transition.
